TASTE WHAT THEY MADE
Our Next Course cohort didn't just learn to cook — they developed original menu concepts and pitched them to real chefs at Monuts. Now you can taste the result. When you order from the student menu at Monuts, you're not just getting something delicious — you're directly supporting a young Durham cook who put their skill, their creativity, and their confidence on the plate. Come hungry. Leave proud of what your community is building.

Tip The Kitchen
Your gift stays in Durham — and goes directly into the work.
When you give to Kind Kitchen Group, you are funding real access for real young people. Ingredients, scholarships, stipends for paid youth leaders, event supplies, field exposure experiences, and the programming that changes how a young person sees themselves and their future.
Every dollar stays in Durham. None of the funds we receive go toward core organizational salaries. All of it goes into the work.
Volunteer with Us
Bring what you know. We’ll put it to work.
Kind Kitchen Group programming is only as rich as the community that shows up for it. If you work in food, hospitality, agriculture, education, or community organizing — we want you in the room. Our young people need to see what's possible, and that means meeting the people who are actually doing it.
Industry & hospitality professionals Join a Next Course panel, host a site visit at your restaurant or venue, or mentor a cohort participant one-on-one. Your career path is exactly the kind of story our young people need to hear.
Culinary professionals Lead a guest session, co-facilitate a recipe milestone, or serve as a judge at a Menu Pitch showcase. Bring your expertise into a kitchen full of people who are ready for it.
Farmers & growers Partner with Young Ag Society for field visits, growing workshops, and harvest-to-table experiences. Help our students understand where their food comes from — and who tends it.
Community members Facilitate a People's Kitchen session, welcome guests at an event, or support the logistics that keep everything running. There is meaningful work here for everyone who shows up.
